Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance
Location: Porterville, CA
Pay Rate: $23.54/hour
Position Overview
Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance for a County client in Visalia, CA. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on maintenance experience and be comfortable working independently across multiple properties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance of rental units, including cleaning and painting

Operate power and hand tools safely and efficiently
-
Complete semi-skilled repair work such as minor plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical tasks

Operate and repair power machinery and equipment
-
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition
-
Maintain grounds, including mowing, spraying, fertilizing, and chemical weed control
-
Perform related maintenance duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
-
Minimum 3 years of maintenance, repair, or groundskeeping experience
-
Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record
-
Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and in-person maintenance assessment

Ability to follow instructions and complete work safely and on time
-
Basic computer literacy (MS Office preferred)
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a continuing basis
-
Frequent bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops
-
Ability to move appliances and operate maintenance vehicles and equipment
-
Tolerance for working in both heat and cold-weather conditions
-
Good verbal, hearing, and visual abilities for safe job performance

Regular attendance is required
