Job Description


Hire Up Staffing is looking for a skilled Director of a Manufacturing facility in Southwest Houston!

Pay- $135,000/yr. 

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing management, including roles with production control responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in managing a significant manufacturing facility.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee budget spending, labor efficiency, material usage, and production output.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing activities.
  • Participate in corporate planning and decision-making processes.
  • Lead and mentor department managers and supervisors to meet manufacturing targets.
  • Promote a collaborative and performance-focused work environment.
  • Create policies and programs to improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement both long-term and short-term manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost goals.
  • Ensure the recruitment, training, and development of qualified staff.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
  • Maintain high standards of manufacturing operations to meet customer and company quality requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Manage resources to meet budgetary goals and optimize operational costs.
  • Oversee major projects such as facility upgrades, equipment installations, and significant repairs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all manufacturing activities.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

  • Proficiency in performance management and project management.
  • High technical capacity and business acumen.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer.
  • Visual acuity for processing work tasks.
  • Regular onsite attendance is required.
