Material Handler
Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking motivated Material Handlers to join our team in Cedar Park, Texas. This position performs a variety of moderate physical and administrative tasks involved with the distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Pay: $18/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices; maintain accurate records of received goods.
- Reject unsatisfactory, damaged, or defective items.
- Operate equipment to move materials to proper departments or storage locations.
- Store materials in designated locations after receiving in the system.
- Examine stocks and distribute materials and supplies to production lines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory integrity; research inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare goods for final shipment and maintain shipping records.
- Embrace safety culture and follow company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Basic data entry and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Typical warehouse environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs. for distances up to 30 feet.
- Full range of motion of waist and neck; unrestricted use of upper extremities; overhead reaching.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
