Material Handler

Job Description
***EDUCATION - HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED***
**WORKING HOURS: 6a-5p with OT**
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility using various equipment, including forklifts both sit and stand and pallet jacks.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
- Deliver materials to production lines in a timely manner to facilitate continuous workflow.
- Conduct visual inspections of materials and products to ensure they meet quality standards before distribution.
- Record and update inventory levels, material movements, and production transactions accurately.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling and transporting materials.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Assist in various tasks within the manufacturing environment as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience operating other material handling equipment. Both Sit down and Stand up.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
