Floater Receptionist/Back Office MA
Job Description
Job Title: Bilingual Receptionist & Medical Assistant Floater
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Job Summary:
The Bilingual Receptionist & Medical Assistant Floater provides front-office and clinical support across multiple departments as needed. This role requires fluency in English and Spanish, strong customer service skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced medical environment. The floater supports patient flow, ensures efficient clinic operations, and delivers high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 8am – 5pm.
Pay:
- $18.50 - $20.50 DOE
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly manner
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and between visits
- Assist patients with health questionnaires and escort them to examination rooms
- Record vital signs and patient information on charts (e.g., pulse, temperature, blood pressure)
- Support physicians during patient examinations and treatments
- Perform basic lab tasks like drawing blood and preparing specimens
- Set up procedure rooms with necessary supplies and clean instruments
- Cover front desk duties when needed and float to other clinics if required
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- New Grads Welcome
- Fluent in Spanish
- BLS Certification
- Experience with E-Clinical Works (ECW) is a plus
- Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
