Medical Assistant
Job Description
Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a skilled Medical Assistant that is interested in joining a recognized healthcare company in West Houston with Dermotology experience.
Pay $17/hr.-$24/hr. (vary depending on experience)
Hours: M-F 7a-4p (must be flexible)
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
- Send out prescriptions and complete prior authorizations for prescriptions
- Travel between clinics
- Assist in dermatology surgical procedures (MOHS)
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Back Office Medical Assistant experience.
- Previous dermatology medical assisting experience required.
- Must have EMR/EHR experience; Strongly prefer someone with EMA EHR or eClinical Works.
- Must have successfully completed a Medical Assisting program from an accredited university.
- Experience with MOHS procedures.
