Job Description:
The medical office is looking for a competent Medical Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist doctors, support patients, and efficiently handle tasks using Epic and NextGen software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors during patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records using Epic/NextGen software
- Provide patient education and support
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent education
- Minimum of 2 years of back-office medical assisting experience
- Proficiency in Epic and NextGen software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
