Position: Medical Billing Claims Indexer
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $18-$20Â per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.Â
Job Overview:
We’re looking for a Medical Billing Claims Indexer to join our top-tier client in Fresno. This is a data-entry-intensive role where you’ll manually input medical and dental claims from paper forms into the company’s system. Familiarity with medical billing or claim form reading is essential, as is accuracy in data entry. Experience with processing claims is a plus, and we’ll offer cross-training opportunities in the claims department.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in medical claims data entry, medical billing, or a related role involving claims management (experience with EDD claims, medical claims, or insurance claims is accepted).
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage claims from multiple groups.
- Input data from CMS-1500 and UB-04 claims forms accurately.
- Handle high-dollar claims and JAA/BlueCard claims proficiently.
- Interpret group SPDs and administer benefits as needed.
- Perform zero-dollar adjustments and maintain report accuracy.
- Review, create, and process FOGBUGZ cases as needed.
- Utilize Anthem Blue Cross website and batch/scan correspondence.
- Stay updated through department communication channels.
- Track spreadsheets for special projects, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
