Job Description
Hire Up Staffing and Healthcare is seeking a Customer Service Representative for one of our healthcare clients in Visalia, CA. This is an onsite position temp to hire.
Schedule: M-F 8am - 5pm
Pay: Starting out at $18.00 + Up Depending on Experience.
Job Summary:
Customer service representative working directly with our Physician referral sources, and coworkers to provide medical and respiratory equipment/supplies pleasantly and efficiently to our customer
Essential Functions:
- Communicate with patients/clients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure patient/client questions and concerns and equipment orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Involved, as directed, in all aspects of the intake process: answering the phone and processing faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into appropriate systems, preparing delivery tickets, assisting in delivery schedule, and processing paperwork
- Prepares complete and accurate files for billing department. This includes a thorough understanding of pt insurance benefits.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of current Medicare, Medi-Cal, private insurances, and regulatory body regulations as related to current products and services offered by the company,
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience as a Medical Billing Assistant
- Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required
- Previous DME experience preferred but not mandatory. Some type of medical background is mandatory for this position.
- Must be reliable and dependable with a willingness to learn new things continually.
- Proper and pleasant phone etiquette is a must.
- Strong customer relations and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively, take and follow directions.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Basic math, computer and office skills, printing/faxing/scanning
- This employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
