Medical Office Manager Position (Fresno, CA)

A busy medical office in Fresno is seeking a skilled Medical Office Manager to join the team as soon as possible. This key leadership role will manage the daily operations of a specialty practice, overseeing both administrative and clinical staff.

Role Overview: The Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the practice site, from patient management to staff supervision and development. The ideal candidate will have experience in specialty practices (such as GI), along with knowledge of Epic and NextGen systems.

Compensation:
  • Supervisor Role: $32-$42.50 per hour
    • Equivalent to an annual salary range of $66,560 - $88,400

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in business or a healthcare-related field
  • 5 years of medical office administration experience, with at least 1 year in a specialty setting
  • Medical terminology and practice management courses preferred
  • Experience in specialist or surgical practice and referral coordination

Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of medical practice operations and clinical office procedures
  • Knowledge of HR management techniques and group practice policies
  • Proficiency with computer systems and medical coding
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, including patient care coordination, staff management, and billing processes

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and staff development
  • Develop and implement policies for efficient patient and administrative management
  • Ensure compliance with billing and authorization procedures
  • Maintain provider schedules and manage patient referrals
  • Prepare management reports and maintain accurate records for licensing, credentialing, and billing
  • Stay current with healthcare trends and regulations
