Job Description
Job Title: Medical Scribe
Location: Visalia, CA
Job Summary:
The Medical Scribe will assist healthcare providers by documenting patient visits, updating electronic medical records (EMRs), and ensuring accurate and timely medical documentation.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Temp assignment (2-3 months but can go on for 6 months)
Pay:
- $18.00 - $20.00
Essential Job Functions:
- Document patient visits accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Record patient history, examinations, and treatment plans.
- Update patient charts with test results, medications, and provider notes.
- Prepare and review medical records for completeness.
- Assist providers with documentation during patient appointments.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other documentation and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1-2 Years of experience.
- Must have knowledge of e-Clinicals
- Bilingual Preferred but not required.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Highly organized; ability to multi-task.
- Fast learner.
