Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations both in clinic and in hospital settings.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions, collaborating with physicians and specialists when necessary.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, while monitoring patient response and adjusting treatments as needed.
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in medical research projects.
- Will be seeing up to 20 patients a day
Qualifications:
- Current valid Nurse Practitioner license in CA.
- Urgent care experience highly preferred
- Will consider new NP graduates with 5+ years of RN experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Dedication to providing patient-centered care and promoting positive health outcomes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with medical advancements
