General Manager – Waste Management
Location: Tyler, TX
Compensation: $60k - $80k + Future Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time
Hire Up Staffing is partnering with a growing waste management company in Tyler, TX to hire a General Manager. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on operations, team management, and driving business growth.
We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front—balancing operations, sales, and team performance while keeping everything running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations including drivers, routes, and service schedules
- Manage and track CSR activity, including monitoring cold calls and sales performance
- Support and grow commercial client relationships, including national accounts
- Assist in developing new business through sales efforts and client outreach
- Manage P&L, budgeting, and overall financial performance
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and team development
- Ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of management experience (required)
- Background in waste management, logistics, transportation, or similar industry preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with P&L responsibility and operational oversight
- Comfortable overseeing sales activity and supporting business development
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
