Job Description


Hire Up Staffing is partnering with a dynamic and growing client located in Fresno, CA to hire an experienced Operations Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this position will be responsible for supervising the operations staff, overseeing all operational processes, and ensuring that projects are completed in a timely, efficient, and smooth manner while adhering to company standards and guidelines. If you have a background in industry and operational management, possess excellent multi-tasking abilities, and have proven experience managing personnel, we would love to hear from you!

Salary: $90k-$120k
Schedule: M-F 7AM-4PM
DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY 

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Supervise operations staff and ensure that all operational processes are performed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish guidelines, policies, and procedures to be followed by company personnel to ensure standardization and quality.
  • Project Management:
  • Visit job sites regularly to monitor project progress and ensure that projects are running smoothly and on schedule.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed in compliance with established timelines, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure adherence to OSHA and CAL-OSHA compliance standards.
  • Document and report any incidents/accidents, gather relevant information, and track investigations to ensure proper action is taken.
  • Team Leadership & Personnel Management:
  • Directly supervise and oversee the work of subordinates to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Assist in the interview and selection process for operations personnel.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with employees, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight:
  • Contribute to the development of a realistic profit plan (budget) for the company each year.
  • Monitor operational costs, including overhead line items, and research and recommend corrective actions for any significant variances (e.g., 20% or more).
  • Timecard & Compensation Management:
  • Verify and manage timecards daily.
  • Oversee Workman’s Compensation claims as necessary.
  • Inventory & Supply Management:
  • Ensure that essential project supplies (e.g., conduit, risers, sand) are always in stock and available for ongoing projects.
  • Customer & Supplier Relations:
  • Foster strong and positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members, ensuring that customer satisfaction is always a top priority.
  • Company Representation:
  • Attend and actively participate in management, company, and project-related meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
    Essential Qualifications:
    • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred. High School Graduate or G.E.D. with commensurate experience will be considered.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Operations Management in a construction or relatable experience.
  • Proven managerial experience, with the ability to supervise and manage personnel effectively.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid California Driver’s License (with own transportation) is required.
  • Class A California License is preferred but not required.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, tact, and professionalism when dealing with employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
