Operations Supervisor

Job Description
Hourly Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, OVERNIGHT 10:00pm – 6:30am (must be flexible to work OT)
Job Summary:
- Oversee all nighttime operations, which encompass tasks such as processing shipments, preparing documentation, relaying freight updates, and dispatching drivers for pickups.
- May also participate in planning and arranging truck delivery routes on a daily basis.
Essential Functions:
- Manage nighttime operations efficiently.
- Coordinate the dispatch of drivers for pickups.
- Supervise warehouse activities.
- Ensure effective communication of freight status.
- Handle the processing, tracking, and tracing of outgoing shipments.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Skills/Competencies:
- Customer service background is a must.
- Prior experience in freight or transportation is required.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills are essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interact with customers and other stations are necessary.
- Experience in supervising a department is a plus.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in the freight or transportation field.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements:

- This role involves extended periods of standing and walking.
- It requires the employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects overhead.
- Regularly lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and operating pallet jacks and forklifts is necessary.
- The position also entails regular use of a phone and a PC, as well as reading and writing various shipping documents.
