Job Description
- Receive and validate mineral gifts from Estates & Trusts and other institutions.
- Collaborate to obtain account numbers with the Director of Estates & Trust Administration and Security Operations Specialist.
- Set up fund accounts in the Trust Minerals Application for accurate distribution to beneficiary institutions.
- Communicate with grantors to convey mineral interests through deeds to the Board of Regents.
- Engage with Executors and Estate attorneys to request and record Distribution Deeds, ensuring proper estate documentation.
- Request and organize relevant documents associated with donated properties, maintaining an accessible database.
- Notify payors of mineral interest ownership transfer, providing recorded documentation and requesting updated division orders.
- Record and organize lease proposals, ensuring transparency for land management to review and approve.
- Collaborate with the Cash Management team for receipt and research of royalty checks, ensuring accurate processing.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral estate management or division order analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of mineral estate legal documents and property transfer procedures.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in dealing with payors and managing division orders.
- Familiarity with legal descriptions, division order processing, and lease proposal management.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial transactions related to royalty payments.
