Patient Access Representative – San Luis Obispo, CA
Hire Up Staffing and Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative for one of our valued healthcare clients in San Luis Obispo, CA. This is an onsite position offering a consistent weekday schedule.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: $21.00/hour
Job Summary
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for coordinating scheduled outpatient services and programs, verifying registration information, and collecting patients’ financial responsibility. This role also provides clerical support, maintains accurate records, and ensures smooth daily operations in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions

Facilitate the patient admission and discharge process, including the collection of information and financial data

Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls and inquiries

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files and records

Schedule and coordinate appointments and follow-up visits

Confirm patient appointments and provide instructions as needed

Perform other related duties as assigned

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Technical Degree preferred

Minimum of 1 year of related experience

Must be able to pass a background check and medical screening
