Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Location: Visalia, CA
Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Overview: Hire Up Staffing is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Clerk to join a reputable company in Visalia. This role involves managing payroll for 300 employees, primarily focusing on prevailing wages and accurately breaking out travel time using GPS data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately manage payroll for 300 employees, ensuring all prevailing wages are correctly calculated and processed.
- Timecard Management: Break out travel time on timecard reports using GPS data, ensuring accurate recording of work hours.
- Software Use: Enter and manage payroll data using SAGE Construction software, ensuring seamless payment processing.
- Data Review: Analyze daily reports and GPS data to verify hours and reconcile them with payroll records.
- File Tracking: Maintain and organize payroll records, preparing files for review and audits.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in payroll processing is essential, especially with prevailing wages.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with 10-key data entry is required. Familiarity with SAGE Construction software, MS Word, and MS Excel is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are crucial in this role.
- Reliability: We are looking for someone who is reliable, dependable, and able to receive feedback constructively.
- Longevity: A stable job history is preferred. If there are gaps or frequent job changes, please provide legitimate reasons for leaving each position.
- Trainability: Must be open to learning and adapting to new processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual: While not mandatory, bilingual skills are a plus.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: Experience in the construction industry or familiarity with related payroll processes is a bonus.
