Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk! Pay is 17.00+ depending on experience.
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the daily clerical activities of the pharmacy department
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six months related experience.
- Bilingual is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedure including pharmacy billing is preferred but not required.
- Pharmacy Technician license is preferred but not required.
Performance Expectations:
- Will work under direct supervision of the Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Coordinators, Enteral Coordinators, Reimbursement Supervisor and Specialty Team Lead.
- Assist with daily, weekly and monthly follow up calls for active patients. Assist with enteral calls as needed included any Spanish calls.
- Responsible for requesting any necessary labs.
- Â Assists pharmacists in obtaining pertinent medical history including height, weight, allergies, diabetic status and/or medication profile.
- Assists pharmacists with patient care plans.
- Provides clerical support for the pharmacy staff including answering phones and scanning/assigning any necessary documents if necessary.
- Assist with inventory matters, such as cycle counts.
- Maintains communication with physician’s offices to track refill request forms.
- Maintains communication with RN’s for any supply needs.
- Tracks McKesson orders as needed and inform Enteral Coordinator and Specialty Team Lead if with any issues.
- Â Maintains communication with ICS Registered Dietician and Nutritional Intervention Team when problems arise or changes need to be made for enteral patients.
- Provides backup for the enteral coordinator by processing any new enteral orders, immediate supply needs and/or equipment exchanges if the Enteral Coordinator is out of the office.
- Performs other related tasks as determined by the pharmacy coordinator.

- Performs other related tasks as determined by the pharmacy manager.
