Job Description


Part-Time Phlebotomist – Merced (with travel to Fresno on Wednesdays)

Hire Up Staffing is seeking experienced and certified Phlebotomists for a growing medical group in Merced. This part-time role requires availability to work full days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with travel to Fresno on Wednesdays to transport samples. Mileage and drive time will be compensated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform age-specific venipuncture and capillary puncture

  • Process specimens for transport

  • Answer phones and provide clerical support for the laboratory

  • Ensure performance and safety standards are met

  • Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed

  • Serve as a liaison for the laboratory and interact with physicians, nurses, and lab assistants

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Part-time, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, full 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
On Wednesdays, drive to Fresno to deliver samples, with paid mileage and drive time.

Requirements:

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician

  • American Heart Association BLS Certification

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with medical terminology and computer systems
