Plant Nursery Manager
Job Description
Master Gardener / Nursery Manager
Pay: $24–$35/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Flexible Tue–Sun (Weekends Required)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Local gardens is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Master Gardener or Nursery Manager to lead our plant sales team, support our customers, and help bring landscapes to life. If you love plants, know how to make a yard thrive, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do

Greet customers and provide expert advice on plant selection, care, and design

Assess a customer’s yard or environment and recommend plants that will thrive in specific soil, light, climate, and water conditions

Oversee plant care, health, and inventory on-site

Assist with plant sales, merchandising, and nursery presentation

Train and support sales staff on plant identification and best practices

Serve as the go-to expert for plant ID, diagnosis, pests, and proper maintenance
What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of plant identification, landscaping, and gardening

Ability to evaluate an outdoor space and match plants to the environment

Passion for plants and outstanding customer service skills

Ability to work weekends (flexible schedule, but weekend presence is required)

Previous nursery, gardening, landscaping, or horticulture experience
Bonus: Formal horticulture training or Master Gardener certification
