Job Description
Compensation: $21-$23/hour
We are seeking a dedicated Procedure Scheduler with at least one year of experience in scheduling and a stable work history. Applicants must have held previous jobs for at least 1-2 years each. Experience with Epic or NexGen is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact, interacting with patients over the phone
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls
- Schedule patient visits and procedures
- Respond to questions and concerns, directing them to the appropriate department
- Collaborate with medical staff and associates to optimize scheduling efficiency and effectiveness
- Multitask using several different technology systems to complete tasks
- Collect and enter necessary demographic, clinical, billing, and insurance information from patients or responsible parties
- Inform patients of possible co-pays and deductibles to be paid at the time of service
- Communicate effectively with physicians, physician staff, ancillary departments, nursing units, and patients
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned
