Job Title: Maintenance Person II
Location: Visalia, CA 93292
Pay: $23.54/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Overview:
Under general direction, the Maintenance Person II performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair of housing authority buildings, equipment, and structures. This role supports the overall upkeep of rental units and surrounding grounds, ensuring properties are maintained in safe and functional condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance of rental units, including cleaning and painting
- Complete minor repairs including plumbing, carpentry, and basic maintenance tasks
- Operate power and hand tools safely and effectively
- Maintain grounds, including mowing, spraying, fertilizing, and chemical weed control
- Prepare surfaces and assist with painting and upkeep of units
- Complete reports and work orders accurately and timely
- Operate and drive a motor vehicle as needed for job duties
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in building maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping
- Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable DMV record
- Ability to pass drug screen and background check
- Basic computer skills (MS Office preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and ladder/roof work
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to operate maintenance vehicles, tools, and equipment
