Pump Mechanic

Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a Pump Mechanic for our Fresno client!
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity paying $21/hour.
Position Overview:
The Pump Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining industrial pumps and related equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a shop environment.
Responsibilities:

Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps

Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend proper repairs

Replace seals, bearings, gaskets, shafts, and other components
-
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
-
Align motors and pumps to manufacturer specifications
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area
-
Assist with loading/unloading equipment as needed
-
Complete repair documentation and parts inventory tracking
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience (pump repair preferred)
-
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and hand/power tools
-
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
