Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian II for a clinical opportunity in Houston, Texas!
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian to provide specialized nutritional care for pediatric patients in a clinical setting. This position will work closely with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized nutrition plans and support patients with complex nutritional needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for pediatric patients with varying levels of clinical complexity
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on each patient's medical and nutritional needs
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, parents, and caregivers
- Support the nutritional management of patients receiving TPN
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Monitor nutritional progress and make appropriate adjustments to nutrition interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Explain nutrition recommendations in a way that is appropriate for patients and families with different levels of understanding
- Develop and customize educational resources for patients and caregivers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical projects
- Assist with nutritional care across pediatric specialty clinics as needed
- 3+ years of Registered Dietitian experience
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current Texas Licensed Dietitian credential
- Bachelor's or graduate-level education from an accredited dietetics/nutrition program as required for professional credentialing
- Strong knowledge of the nutrition care process
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger clinical team
