Now Hiring: Safety Coordinator – Food Processing & Manufacturing (South Fresno)
Pay: $22–$26/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Primarily AM shift with occasional evenings required
A well-established farming and food processing operation in South Fresno is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in food safety, quality assurance, and workplace safety within warehouse or manufacturing settings.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety department within a warehouse, manufacturing, or food production environment

Familiarity with food safety and compliance regulations
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-
Degree in Food Science or related field is a plus
-
Must be able to perform first aid/CPR or be willing to obtain certification
-
Clean driving record
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct safety and compliance training across multiple entities
-
Partner with department leads to schedule and deliver training sessions
-
Create safety materials and documentation in both English and Spanish
-
Conduct regular inspections and safety audits
-
Lead or support emergency drills and safety meetings
-
Track and distribute PPE, perform JHAs, and lead investigations for incidents

Maintain current knowledge of applicable safety regulations and practices
Desired Skills:

Strong communication and leadership abilities

Detail-oriented with good writing and computer skills

Knowledge of agricultural equipment and production processes

Ability to train and engage team members at all levels
Certifications (or willingness to obtain):

OSHA 30 – General Industry
-
CPR/First Aid/AED Trainer
