Location: Fresno, CA
Position Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Occasional Saturdays & Overtime
Pay: $20.50/hr

Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join a dynamic manufacturing operation in Fresno, CA. This position is being recruited on behalf of our client in the truck manufacturing industry.
Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing and maintaining production schedules across five facilities to ensure on-time delivery, optimal productivity, and accurate inventory control. This role plays a vital part in aligning manufacturing operations with customer demands and the overall Sales and Operations Production plan. The scheduler will coordinate with departments such as fabrication, machining, assembly, and coating to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work comfortably in both office and active production environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules based on sales forecasts and operational capacity.

Release and print work orders/process orders for the manufacturing floor.

Perform physical inventory verification within production areas to ensure alignment with system records.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing, sales, supply chain, and materials management—to ensure materials and resources are available to meet production goals.

Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and production delays while maintaining delivery commitments.

Update stakeholders on production status, schedule changes, and any potential delivery impacts in a timely manner.

Utilize intermediate Excel skills to analyze data from internal databases, organize production metrics, and support planning decisions.
Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate-level Excel skills (e.g., filtering, organizing, summarizing data).

Strong data entry and typing skills (minimum 40 WPM).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to walk through production areas and conduct regular inventory checks.
Work Environment:
-
Split between office setting and active production areas (indoor and outdoor).

Standard office equipment usage including computers, phones, copiers, and filing systems.

Primarily sedentary work, with regular walking, standing, bending, and occasional lifting required during inventory inspections.
