Job Description
Summary
The Senior Employee Relations Specialist assists the Human Resource Manager with the day to day operations of the HR department and ensuring excellent employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate information and records for all employees
- Manage employee complaints and issues
- Assist with employee reviews
- Organize and maintain confidential employee files
- Assist with on-boarding for new employees
- Schedule interviews for potential candidates
- Conduct reference checks
- Interface with staffing agencies and manage employee timecards
- Maintain and prepare time and attendance records to ensure timely payroll
- Assist in putting employee schedules in to the HRIS platform
- Other HR related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience in the Human Resources field
- Union experience a huge plus
- Human Resources certification desirable
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Familiar with HRIS program preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
