Shop Hand
Job Description
$18-$20/hr. DOE
Dayshift
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and repair of pumps and related equipment.
- Utilize basic hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
- Perform minor welding operations as needed for assembly and repairs.
- Safely operate forklifts for the movement of heavy materials (Forklift Certification is a plus).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety guidelines and company protocols for all shop operations.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of shop equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a mechanical or shop environment.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Some welding experience is required.
- Forklift Certification is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
