Staff Accountant

Job Description
Salary: $70k-$80k
Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM
Job Functions
• Prepare various financial documents for compliance with regulations.
• Perform various complex account analyses and reconciliation.
• Prepare daily management reports facilitating variance reviews and daily cash management.
• Perform accurate and timely monthly closing procedures as assigned.
• Facilitate the daily, monthly and yearly maintenance of general ledger accounting records to assure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of accounting information. Provide reports on regular and ad hoc basis to support management decision making.
• Cross-train on all accounting processes and other accounting functions as required.
• Assist with tax reporting and planning and the completion of all audits and reviews.
• Complete additional administrative duties required by the accounting department.
• Responsible for the accounting of fixed assets and intangible assets including tracking existing assets, recording depreciation and amortization, and accounting for the acquisition and disposition of fixed assets.
• Handle assigned account reviews and balance history status.
• Perform month end close functions.
• Support both internal and external audit requests
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
• 5+ years of related experience.
• High proficiency with Microsoft applications, including an advanced understanding of complex Excel formulas and applications.
• Understanding of work flows in a manufacturing environment.
• Cost accounting in manufacturing environment.
• BA/BS in Accounting or related discipline (preferred).
