Confidential Engineering Firm – Staff Engineer (with Estimating Responsibilities)
Fresno, CA | Full-Time | $30–$40/hour DOE
A well-established and reputable engineering consulting firm is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Construction Inspection division. This role offers a strong mix of engineering, project coordination, and estimating, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and client-facing responsibilities.
This is a 100% in-office position with occasional site visits.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare proposals, review bid requests, and assist with project estimating
- Communicate with clients to secure contracts and support ongoing projects
- Review RFIs and submittals, providing technical feedback and responses
- Conduct site visits, data analysis, and technical evaluations
- Assist with project management, including pre-bid and pre-construction meetings
- Track project schedules, contract terms, and support change order processes
- Prepare reports, plan reviews, and other engineering documentation
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, construction inspection, or materials testing
- EIT certification preferred (not required)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- $30–$40/hour depending on experience and certifications
