Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our well-established client in Northwest Houston!
Pay DOE - $25-$27/hr.
Swing Shift 2p-12a. Monday-Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Machining and Setup: Operate machine tools such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce components and parts.
- Record Keeping: Document die repair and maintenance activities.
- Design Improvement: Examine existing dies, tools, and fixtures, and recommend design modifications for better construction and functionality.
- Metal Stock Preparation: Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
- Quality Verification: Check machined parts and die components for conformance to specifications.
- Assembly and Positioning: Lift and position parts on worktables or surface plates, and assemble components according to design specifications.
- Inspection: Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of assembled parts.
- Maintenance Recommendations: Suggest preventive maintenance or tooling modifications to enhance efficiency or tooling lifespan.
- Specifications Analysis: Review blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials and machines needed for fabrication.
- Collaboration: Work with the Operations Manager and other team members on tooling design and improvements.
