Weekend Event Supervisor
Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a part-time Weekend Event Supervisor for a non-profit event center in Visalia!
Starting pay: $17.50/hour
Hours: This is an as-needed position, scheduled only when parties or events are booked. Most events take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, with occasional Thursday evenings. This role is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule—perfect as a second job for a professional working Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.
Summary:
This position oversees the entire event center during scheduled parties and events. The Event Supervisor is responsible for opening and closing the building, managing a team of party hosts, assisting customers who have booked events, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Duties:

Supervise all activities and staff during parties and events

Manage and support party hosts during events

Greet and assist clients, ensuring a positive experience for all guests

Address and resolve any issues or concerns during events

Open and close the event center, ensuring security and proper procedures

Oversee event schedules, ensuring everything runs on time

Coordinate with management to confirm staffing and event details

Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure a successful event
Requirements:

Previous experience in event or party management preferred

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills

High attention to detail

Proficiency with MS Office a plus

Flexible schedule—must be available evenings and weekends

Ability to pass a background check
