What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wastewater, water transfer, and diesel-driven pumps

  • Handle trailer-mounted and skid pumps, ensuring they’re ready for the field

  • Operate crane trucks and specialty tools safely and efficiently

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals

  • Communicate job details clearly with supervisors and teammates

  • Prepare equipment for transport and make sure every job is finished on time and within budget

     

What You Bring

  • At least 2 year of hands-on experience repairing water or wastewater pumps and diesel components

  • Experience operating a crane truck (required)

  • Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

Position Overview

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a 95-unit residential apartment community in Fresno. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining the property, completing apartment turns, handling general repairs, and helping ensure the community remains clean, safe, and well maintained.

We are looking for someone with previous apartment or residential property maintenance experience who is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance responsibilities independently.
Schedule

  • Monday–Friday

  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance and repair requests throughout the apartment community

  • Turn vacant apartments and prepare units for new residents

  • Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-ups

  • Complete drywall repairs and patching

  • Handle basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures

  • Install and replace light fixtures

  • Install and replace GFCI outlets and complete basic electrical repairs

  • Repair and replace window and door screens

  • Perform general handyman and property repairs as needed

  • Maintain clean and attractive grounds and common areas

  • Clean four on-site laundry rooms on a weekly basis

  • Inspect vacant units and identify repairs needed before move-in

  • Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance areas in an organized manner

  • Follow property safety procedures and maintenance standards

  • Assist with other property maintenance needs as they arise
Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance, property maintenance, or residential maintenance experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with apartment turns and rent-ready preparation

  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs

  • Comfortable using common hand and power tools

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues

  • Ability to work independently and manage daily maintenance priorities

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally with property management and residents

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with apartment maintenance work
Position Details
This position supports an established 95-unit apartment community in Fresno. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance needs throughout the property.

A well-established property management company is seeking a Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a residential community. 

Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM with occasional Saturdays depending on property needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Respond to resident and management work orders in a timely manner
  • Assist with General repairs, plumbing work, fixing broken fixtures, electrical repairs, appliance troubleshooting and repair (including refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and other household appliances), painting, cleaning, and preparing units for new residents
  • Support landscaping and general property upkeep
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and property guidelines
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies

What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 2+ years property management 
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
